I am currently completing two publications for the ACM Computing Surveys journal that examines the trends of mobile agent security, trends within security pattern usage within the communities of information technology and computer science. The work examines security problems and solutions encountered by practitioners developing real distributed systems. In addition, I have just completed my service as a referee for IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, which has given me valuable insights into developing security trends.
I believe in looking beyond the core of computer science research to identify compelling research topics and potential solutions to interesting problems.
I also believe that collaboration, especially across disciplines, exposes one to
new perspectives, allowing experiences and lessons previously isolated to their fields to be leveraged to produce high-quality research.
