Hello All,

I would like to welcome all the news students to the SLIS family and to
welcome back all the continuing folks.  I hope you all had a great summer
and are ready to meet he challenges of the new semester.  With that said,
why don't we all have a little bit of fun while we're at it?  If any of you
were at the first LISSO meeting, you probably heard about a fall picnic to
be held sometime in the next few weeks before the weather gets cold.  Does
anybody have a preference as to when we should have this picnic?  Saturday,
September 22 has been mentioned as a possible date and Sunday, September 16
as well.  What do you think?  It looks like Thursday nights might be the
preferred night to have our Mill excursions.  And of course there are the
lunches at the River Room.  If anybody has any further suggestions as to
what we could do, by all mean, feel free to email them to me.  So, have a
good weekend and I look forward to hearing from you!!
