The Leach Park Project was designed by a community
group led by artist Stuart Morris of Mt. Vernon, Iowa and Quad City
Arts. The site interprets the river's industry through a stainless steel
railing which meanders down the centerof the 15 steps on the levee which is inspired by
the Lock & Dam system. Two large tow boat propellers will be used to create a fountain at the base of the steps surrounded by a decorative iron fence with text symbolizing the river industry. |
