If you are seeking an endorsement to work in a K-12 school library, this class can meet the following state requirements for content:

Curriculum development and teaching and learning strategies.
Methods for instruction and integration of media skills into the school curriculum. (together with School Library Administration)
Information literacy, reference services and networking (together with Search and Discovery).

You should choose a topic for your research that is relevant to a K-12 school setting, and choose a lesson for your teaching presentation which might be taught in a K-12 library or other classroom setting.

It may become possible to seek an original endorsement as a school teacher librarian. If that should be the case, the following aspects of this class would apply to your professional core standards. Please note that you would be required to write reflections on your class readings, and the course instructor may review them.
