Introduction:

This pathfinder will help high school students or other young people who have great interests in American literature and poetry learn how to appreciate poetry, especially the young adult poetry through the collections at the Iowa City Public Library (ICPL) as well as other online or print resources about YA poems. Here I divided the YA Poetry into different categories showed above, which include reference, American history, classic poetry, multicultural poetry, novems, YA writings, poetry on Audio/Video, and online poetry, etc. I have listed the title, author/editor, call numbers, and locations of all the books I have included in this tool. I believe students will have a comprehensive understanding on American poetry for young people through my pathfinder.

Subject Headings in the ICPL Catalog:

Young Adult Poetry
Young Adult Poetry African American Authors
Young Adult Poetry American
