Miffy Circle Times—Summer 2005
I was instructed to create storytimes with one Miffy book and numerous activities with the book which would engage preschoolers. This is the stroytime I arranged for the book "Miffy at the Sea".
Bunny Wiggles
Wiggle your toes…
Wiggle your feet…
Wiggle your legs…
Wiggle your fingers…
Wiggle your hands…
Wiggle your arms…
Wiggle your head…
Now wiggle your noses, just like a bunny, just like Miffy!

Here are the Fishes
Here is the sea the wavy sea…
Here is my boat…
And here is me…
All of the fishes…

What’s in my Bag?
I cut out pictures of various beach items for the kids. I had the children guess
what they need for the beach and let them hold onto the items they guess that
I had in my bag.
Bed Sheet Waves
I took a blue bed sheet and have the kids wave it around. I then put items underneath
for them to “swim” and retrieve.
Seashell Mobile
I xeroxed seashells similar to the ones in the story. Children colored and cut
them out. The mobile is made with half a paper plate, hole punches and yarn.
