Critical Methods Society

The critical methods society arranges conferences on the politics of knowledge production and supports critical research, guerilla publishing, and radical teaching initiatives. They are a loose group of lecturers and students at South African universities, but their focus is on international as much as on South African issues.

Infed.org: the Home of Informal Education

Established in 1995, the aim of Infed.org is "to provide a space for people to explore the theory and practice of informal education. In particular, we want to encourage educators to develop ways of working and being that foster association, conversation and relationship…The site is run on a not-for-profit basis and is part of the UK National Grid for Learning."

The site was created by Ph.D. students in Education (Cynthia Duda, Ruben Garza, Linda Stacavich, Sung-Kwan Yang, and Laurie Williams) as a project for Dr. James Scheurich's graduate course, Systems of Human Inquiry, at the University of Texas at Austin.
