xml: applications

xml: dtd's

xml: xslt

To complete before class

Using the links in the table below, peruse the information about a particular application of XML. Don't feel at all obliged to read or know every piece of information on or linked from your page, but use your information judgement to find the most pertinent pieces.

Get a cursory understanding of one of the DTDs mentioned on your page, but realize that some of them are very lengthy and complicated; you certainly need not master it. Also, in some cases you may need to click on the "cache" link for the DTD, because the main link may be dead.

Boil all of this down into a very brief presentation for the class, two or three minutes maximum. Tell us what the application does, where it came from, and who it's for. There's no need to prepare visual aids, but feel free to show us links to any information that might help us better understand.
